INLAY is inspired by the ceramic works of Shoji Kamoda. Digitally jacquard-woven from a linen and cotton blend in varying ratios and colours, the fabric evokes the tactile surface of clay. A cut-jacquard technique is combined with a glossy recycled polyester yarn to form the painted wing motif, capturing the raised texture of glaze and translating the artwork into textile form.
